We welcome back Miles to Dayton, one of the most popular local bands ever to play the Patchogue Theatre and their friends Sputyen Duyvil, a hot band from upstate New York!

Hailing from the Hudson Valley, Spuyten Duyvil’s (pronounced "SPITE-en DIE-vil") soaring vocals, traditional jug-band energy, slide guitar and Chicago-style blues harp propel the listener on a barn-burning romp through the last 100 years of American Roots music. They are "one of the best bands to emerge on the Americana music scene in the last year" says John Platt of WFUV. According to WFMT-Chicago’s Rich Warren, listening to this joyous band for the first time is like “throwing a cherry bomb into a lake”. It wakes you up. Since it's release in October of 2013, Spuyten Duyvil's third CD "Temptation" has reached the #7 position on the International Folk DJ Chart with “I’ll Fly Away” clocking in at the #2 song. Their 2011 release "New Amsterdam" landed on a dozen DJ Top 10 lists and received a nomination for the Alternate Root TV's "2011 Top American Roots Album".

Miles To Dayton is the family you never knew you had, with music that happens at a personal level, their message of love blending elements of folk, rock, classical, and funk into an irresistible invitation. The M2D recipe is simple: four-part vocal harmony, clever songwriting, improvisational violin and cello, and an infectious rhythm section that stirs up the creative stew. At the heart of their unique marriage of styles lies a real-life marriage: vocalist Krista Preddice shares the microphone with husband Jonathan Preddice, who proposed to Krista on the main stage at PTPA during their 2008 show. In addition to being the principal songwriter for the group, Jon also shines on guitar, cello, accordion, and trumpet. Bassist Dave March (Krista’s brother) and violinist Leanne Strom (Jon’s sister) add depth to the vocal harmonies, with Dave’s low, soulful bass and Leanne’s soaring classical virtuosity providing the sonic bookends for the M2D sound. Drummer Brian Kroll, the newest member of the group, propels the music forward with an exciting and funky edge.
