Saw the band tonight in Northport- Wonderful passion and intensity- Had not known of them- Saw the picture in Newsday today and thought they looked like people who would play good music- I have seen hundreds of bands all over the world- 3 things compare in terms of original music I was hearing for the first time-
1- Aimee Mann/ Steven Talkhouse / Bachelor #2 Tour/ 50 people in the room/ she has been banished by the recording industry and doesn’t know if her career is over-
2- Spring Awakening - 3 rd night in previews- 2 songs in and my eyes were filled with tears- transcendent-
3 - Mamou- House band in a dive bar in New Orleans- Breaking up shortly and they know it-
I have the CDs I bought the night I saw each of them and now I possess “pass it on”-

Great cd guys I'll be sure to pass it on as soon as I'm done but it's just to hard to give it up. I've been driving around for 2 days now exclusively listening to that album and i don't think I've skipped a single song, for me that's rare. very impressive. I can honestly say you guys have it right keep up the good work.

Last night in Port Jefferson we got to hear Miles to Dayton meet Ken Kesey and the Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test. Due to technical difficulties the band ala The Grateful Dead were forced to go into long musical interludes while Jon Preddice tried to root out the offending monitor. This left Dave March and Leanne Strom, Brian Kroll and their equally talented lead guitarist to improvise, or as the Dead might call it, meander in search of Uncle John’s Band. Finally, after Jon, frustrated and dogged, fixed the problem, the band rose to the occasion as blue moon rose and the sun set, giving the audience what they had come for, another great performance. It was the largest audience to date at the Wednesday night concert series of Port Jeff Arts Council.

I totally agree with Allison's comment below. Last night's concert was beautiful and I got to bring my pup! Going home tonight to download your songs (suprised I haven't yet)! Looking forward to future events. :D
