The January Chill has ushered in some awesome new songs in my head...seeds that are just itching to be planted in the garden of m2d. Leanne is due in a few weeks, and we are excited to meet the newest member of the Strom Family! M2D had a blast performing at the Living Room NYC for John Platt's On your Radar, what a great night! We have a bunch of cool gigs this Winter into Spring, many cool listening room gigs from folks we met at Falcon Ridge and NERFA this past year. Special guests Bill Ayasse and the one and only Alisa Rabbitt will be fiddling with us...Should be great fun. Lookout soon for an archive page on the website were we will be posting m2d live shows from recent years past that will be available for free download. Perfect they will not be..but they will be 100% fun and real. Enjoy the beauty that is winter! -Jon P

2012 Part One - Do you want to go steady?

Holy Cow! 2012 has been an amazing year so far for m2d. To catch you up, if you are just joining us, or rekindling our romance:

M2D had some amazing performances: opening for a packed house Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes at the Paramount in Huntington, and amazing show at the Living Room NYC (the first of many NYC shows in the future), the Patchogue Theater Mainstage at Patchogue Jam 5, and beauty of the Hard Luck Cafe @ the Cinema Arts Center FSMNY Huntington listening room......There are some amazing gigs coming up: the Great South Bay Music Fest, Black Potatoe Fest, Falcon Ridge Folk Fest, and a special performance with the West Islip Symphony, and many more cool events this summer!! We can't wait to play for y'all!

"Pass it On" has been reaching all sorts of new ears....We have gotten a major nod from Bob Lefsetz in the "Lefsetz Letter", local coverage from Newsday and a feature article in the Long Island Pulse, as well as a bit on our tune "Firefly" in O magazine July 2012, thanks to ValsList, yes thats O as in Oprah. Crazy Right!

You can now listen to "Pass it On" on your very own Miles to Dayton Pandora radio station. Lots of folks have been giving us some great feedback on this one. Some great radio airplay from local stations WEHM, WUSB, and WRCN have also helped us fuel the fire.

We have been noticing all sorts of web traffic from all over the country on the m2d site, and we just want to say thanks for stopping by! Please let us know what you think, we are always looking to make new friends, and have new musical adventures. Say hello and let us know who you are in our Guestbook!

Our mission is to make meaningful music that feeds our creative souls. We love sharing what we do and consider it an honor that folks have been appreciating the positive energy that we have been putting out there, and we certainly never want that to stop. So for as long as you'll have us, this family band isnt planning on stopping anytime soon! The world needs more love! Pass it on.

Whew! If Part 2 of 2012 is this crazy, we might just have to pop the question. 2012... I think I love you.

January 2012

What a great start to the new year! It was great to see everyone at the Grey Horse Tavern.

It was such an intense feeling for us and a blessing to get to play our music for you last Saturday, and in such a great place. I have always said that when we play the GHT it is the closest most comfortable place next to seeing us in your living room (and we have played some of your living rooms). ?

We are excited for the many great things and shows coming up in the new year.?Including some music videos that are in the works for some of our tracks from “Pass it on”, as well as some great performances. ??

Coming up, we will be performing our songs acoustic at the Hard Luck Cafe at the Huntington Cinema Arts Center on Thursday January 19th at 7:30. It promises to be a great night of music in a great listening room, and you never know what we might pull out of our bag of tricks. Check our Shows page for more information. ?

Thank you again, for all the love and support that you give us. It’s an amazing feeling to know that our music means as much to you as it does to us.
2012 is gonna be a great year!??
See you soon.
Cheers,?

Hey Friends,

Hope you all are having an excellent holiday! We here in m2d land are gearing up for a busy and fruitful 2012. New gigs, reviews, videos, festivals, and tunes! We are gearing up to do some traveling and earn some new fans on the East Coast in 2012. Let us know if you want us to come play in a town by you. You can book us as an acoustic three piece, four piece, or full band five piece band (which we prefer)!

Perhaps one of the most rewarding experience of this year (besides releasing Pass it On at the Boulton Center) has been writing and arranging our song "Pass it On" for HS choir, and getting to accompany the Half Hollow Hills East HS Concert Choir in the world premiere performance of the song. What a blast! I think we may have to take the choir on the road with us.....

See you in the big 2012! Check back often for some blogs from various members of the m2d crew.

Best,

JON P
